There are many interesting and lovely places to visit, including the famous Jurassic Coast - Lulworth Cove is only 12 miles away.

Corfe Castle (National Trust) and Lulworth Castle, and Kingston Lacey House (National trust) near Wimborne, are amongst the many historic buildings locally, and there are many interesting little villages set in beautiful hidden valleys. |

Dorchester, the county town, apart from its literary connections with Thomas Hardy and the poet William Barnes, has a wealth of attractions including an excellent museum, a Roman farmstead, and a good mix of restaurants and shops.
Several golf courses are within easy reach, and both Wareham and Blandford have leisure centres with swimming pools. |

Good horseriding facilities can be found at Blandford and on the edge of
Milton Abbas, this picturesque village with its beautiful Abbey is about 4 miles away.
For meals out, you are spoilt for choice, with a range of interesting pubs within easy reach, and there are many gardens, usually with restaurants or tearooms such as Mapperton Gardens Beaminster, Athelhampton House Puddletown, Stapehill Abbey and Knoll Gardens at Ferndown.
If you like walking, a section of the Jubilee Trail (90 miles in length) is close to us, or why not take a wander through Wareham Forest, or up along Bulbarrow Hill with its fantastic views, or maybe explore the Coastal Path and the beauty of the Purbecks.

Monkey World, and Bovington Tank Museum are about 5 miles away and as we always keep a good collection of leaflets, and have visited most of these attractions ourselves, we would love you to come and experience Dorset for yourself.
